Operation Christmas Child

Ways You Can Get Involved

Year Round Collecting

Collect & donate items throughout the year to pack in your shoebox. You can do this individually or with your church or organization.

Volunteer at a Drop Off

There are thousands of drop off locations across the country and many different opportunities at each one.

Build A Shoebox Online

Can't get out? Don't have time to shop? Building a shoebox online is as easy as clicking a few buttons.

Homemade Items

Do you like to create? There are many items that can be made by hand such as jump ropes, teddy bears, toy cars, and more.

Donate Shipping Costs

Every box costs $10 to ship, which covers collection, processing costs, shipping, gospel materials, and more.

Drop Off Location

TrueHope has been a drop off location for Grant County since 2021. In 2021, we collected over 400 boxes. In 2022, we almost doubled that and collected close to 800. We always need volunteers to help during National Collection Week. If you would like to volunteer, contact Lynn Summit, the Drop Off Leader.

We collect items year-round, so we can pack more boxes each year. Each month we collect different items. If you would like to donate items, contact us!

Build a Shoebox Online

Shoebox gifts built online go to the ends of the earth to children in some of the hardest-to-reach places. Many of these areas are resistant to the Gospel, for cultural or religious reasons, and are home to numerous unreached people groups, some of whom have never heard the Name of Jesus Christ. When you Build a Shoebox Online, it provides believers in remote regions a creative way to share the Good News in a culturally sensitive manner. Online boxes are carefully prepared, abiding by strict customs regulations to safeguard partners who will deliver the gifts, as well as the boys and girls who receive them.

Every year, National Collection Week takes place the third week in November when more than 4,500 drop-off locations are open across the country. Check out the 2022 recap video from our drop off during this week. You will see all the different ways you could be a part of Operation Christmas Child during this week.

Never packed a shoebox before? Here's a step-by-step process of how to pack an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.
